Accessibility

At ENGIE, we are convinced that diversity in all its forms is a lever for individual and collective performance. And as part of our regulatory obligations in terms of digital accessibility, we are currently working to make our website even more accessible to everyone.  

Our aim? To make it easier for people with disabilities to understand and use our content: voiceover, well-defined color contrasts (titles/backgrounds/text), video subtitles, responsive design… see you soon on an intranet 

accessible to all!

  • European Directive 2016/2102 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies
  • Law no. 2005-102 of February 11, 2005 for equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship for people with disabilities, amended by the Law of October 7, 2016 for a Digital Republic and by the Law of September 5, 2018 for the freedom to choose one’s professional future (article 106: determines the threshold above which a company is concerned by digital accessibility obligations)
    • Its decree n°2009-546 of May 14, 2009 creating an accessibility reference framework for online public communication services
    • Its other decree no. 2019-768 of July 24, 2019 on accessibility to disabled people of online public communication services (determines accessibility requirements, implementation and sanctions)
  • RGAA: Référentiel général d’amélioration de l’accessibilité of October 21, 2019.

 

This standard is not mandatory. Another standard on the subject could be selected. e.g. W3AC
Above all, the legislator is seeking to implement an approach aimed at offering digital access to people with disabilities.

  • Law n°2016-1088 of August 8, 2016 relating to work, the modernization of social dialogue and the securing of professional career paths – known as the Labour Law.
